Sketch Betty White on SNL is a golden comedy

The whole world seems to be looking forward to when Betty White celebrates her 100th birthday on January 17th.

While many were dismayed to hear the news that she had passed away, she lived so much more!
Celebration seems to be in order and we have so much content that is codified in digital archives that can bring us to tears of laughter, and yes, even crying.

Let's watch a video that shows one of the funniest moments that this icon gave us!
Sketch Betty White on SNL is a golden comedy

The show is filmed live (on a Saturday night if you can believe it) in front of a live audience.

They have a team of writers who usually create parodies and monologues of current events.

In addition, they invite celebrities who play special roles in their parodies. Often seeing a celebrity in a comedic role on SNL is part of the prank, especially when they have a skit that really hits the spot.

In 2013, SNL filmed a skit called "Census Counter vs. Old Lady" that featured... Betty White!

The sketch follows a young woman (Tina Fey) knocking on the door of an older woman (Betty White).

Her purpose? To get her information for the US Census Department.

When Betty shows up in her blue bathrobe, things are very different.

They start with an introduction, but Betty ends the conversation as soon as it starts!

Dealing with the elderly seems to be really difficult for a public servant!
"You never returned the 2010 census form and I wanted to ask you a few questions."

“Okay dear, do I need a calculator? Because I have one… even though I took out the batteries…”

It is clear that this will not be easy.

You can have lines, sure, but add your own energy to them? It takes a real pro.

Considering how long Betty has been in the game, she was as professional as can be.

We really wish she was here with us a little longer, but we are very happy that she gave us as much as she did!
